Buckingham Lodge care home in Aylesbury have held afternoon tea this week to make a lasting memory for special resident Ivy.
Home Manager Adele Hawkins explains: “At the start of the new year all the residents wrote down a new memory they would like to make in the coming year. We hung them on a wish tree in the home and each month the team select 2-3 and make them come true.
“Ivy's wish was to have a tea party with her family and friends, so we made it happen for her. The team organised a tea party and invited all her nearest and dearest along. Friends and family came from all parts of the UK for the celebration and really made Ivy’s day.
“At Buckingham Lodge we do our very best to give the residents we care for a range of special moments to remember. I am so passionate about this project, making a difference to people’s lives is the best part of my job.”
