The Residents at Eastlake care home in Godalming invited the children from Loseley Fields School on the 25 September 2013 to help plant bulbs and seeds in Eastlake’s garden as part of Anchors Bee Friendly Campaign. Older people and school children across England are working with the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) to make gardens attractive to the Honeybee.

Business Manager Linda Grout said ‘the residents at our home were taking part as they wanted to help Britain’s Wildlife. The children had their faces painted with Honeybees on and assisted the residents to plant bulbs and seeds in the garden that were generously donated by Secretts farm Shop. The residents said it was lovely to see the children who showed great interest and enthusiasm. They also decorated cakes with Bees on to make it extra special'.
