Denham Garden Village in Buckinghamshire has this week been featured on the BBC website in a piece showcasing life at an Anchor retirement village.

BBC Health correspondent Nick Triggle visited Anchor’s Denham Garden Village to see what life is really like in a modern retirement village. Speaking to residents during the visit, he heard about the sense of community and array of interesting activities that take place at an Anchor retirement village.

Irene Griffiths, who has lived at Denham Garden Village for over five years said: “I love living at Denham Garden Village, you can live independently but there is that safety net if I need it.”

Joan Emms, who moved in four years ago, found love with fellow Denham resident, Fred Miller. She told the BBC: “We go to the cafe-bar, they often have live acts and we enjoy a dance - well I do.”

This piece focusing on retirement villages comes ahead of the opening of Anchor’s two newest retirement developments, Bishopstoke Park and Hampshire Lakes, which are both situated in Hampshire. These villages offer stunning retirement apartments in beautiful surroundings, state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant community. Properties at both Bishopstoke Park and Hampshire Lakes are available to buy off plan now, contact us for more details.
