An Aylesbury care home time travelled back to a Victorian-Edwardian music hall for the afternoon on Wednesday 20 January.

Residents at Anchor’s Buckingham Lodge care home, on Culpepper Close in Buckingham Park, enjoyed a special event inspired by popular TV show ‘The Good Old Days’ with comedy, music and party games.

Local singer Maria Scobey performed a selection of old favourites and the care team joined her in dressing up in period costume. Residents and relatives donned feather boas and shared homemade refreshments.

Home manager Wendy Luck commented: “We all really enjoyed our music hall event – everyone at Buckingham Lodge loves a good singalong, and it was a great reminiscence activity for residents. I’m especially pleased lots of guests came and joined in the fun too, and had a glimpse of what a happy place this is to live and work.”
