Residents and staff at Anchor’s Augusta Court care home in Chichester enjoyed a Mad Hatters tea party last week.
As well as dressing up as the famous characters, staff and residents spent time making bunting in the style of playing cards, heart decorations for tables and a giant teapot for the dormouse.
A buffet tea with Pimms was enjoyed by residents, their friends and family, while listening to the 1933 sound track of Alice in Wonderland.
Activities co-ordinator, Sue Townsend, who dressed up as The White Rabbit for the day, commented: “We all had a great afternoon. Activities and events such as this promote social interaction between residents in a fun way and enable them to be creative.”
