TV auctioneer John Bly hosted an ‘Antiques Roadshow’ style special event at Anchor’s Buckingham Lodge care home in Aylesbury yesterday (Wednesday 25 November).

After cutting the ribbon to open Buckingham Lodge in April this year, BBC Antiques Roadshow expert John Bly returned to the care home on Culpepper Close to share his knowledge and advice with the local community.
Buckingham Lodge residents and staff welcomed the local Buckingham Park community to meet John from 6:45-8:30pm, and bring heirlooms and antiques for the famed auctioneer to evaluate.
Guests enjoyed homemade refreshments and the Buckingham Lodge care team gave tours of the beautiful new home, which has its own café, hair and beauty salon, lounges and garden.

Home manager Wendy Luck commented: “We are really excited to welcome John Bly to Buckingham Lodge once again and show him what a lively, happy home this has become since he opened the doors in April.

“Residents and staff alike are digging out blue china and dusting off antique picture frames, and I hope the local community will do the same and come and join us – you never know what your family heirlooms could be worth!”
