Rebecca Bradley, Manager of Anchor’s St Clements Court retirement housing scheme in Kettering has attended a Keyways Open House Day to discuss social housing with the local community.
The open day, held at Highfield Road Community Centre on Saturday 22 March, was arranged by Kettering Borough Council to help raise awareness of the range of social housing opportunities available in the local area.
Rebecca said “The open day was a fantastic opportunity to meet people from local community and answer their questions. There was a huge amount of interest and many people were pleasantly surprised to know that Anchor offer such a wide range of housing options including care homes.
“I also met with the local Community Liaison officer and a number of other housing associations and learnt about a range of interesting local initiatives.
“A number of our current residents at St Clements Court also very kindly took the time to pop in and share their experiences of living with Anchor, which members of the public told us they really valued.
Also well as information and advice about rental housing options and how to apply for a property, the open day also offered children’s activities, free refreshments and a raffle. The event proved a huge success for Rebecca with a number of people deciding to put their names down on the waiting list for St Clements Court.
