Shelagh Brooks, a tenant at Anchor’s Priory Court retirement housing scheme in Hampshire, will be joining the Red Devils in a tandem skydive at Old Sarum, Salisbury on 27 August 2015.

Shelagh, 62, said: “I have always wanted to sky dive and my chance came when one of the other residents here at Priory Court gave me a copy of Frontline, a magazine produced by the Soldiers Charity. I noticed an article about a sponsored sky dive not far from Bishops Waltham and have jumped (no pun intended) at the chance.”

Shelagh is raising money for The Soldiers’ Charity and hopes to raise £450.

Shelagh said: “The Soldiers Charity was formally known as The Army Benevolent Fund and is a charity that looks after soldiers, retired soldiers and their families in times of need. It’s close to my heart as I am married to a retired serviceman and also daughter to a retired serviceman who currently resides at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea.”
