Anchor’s Chief Executive Jane Ashcroft CBE was delighted to be praised for her effective leadership at the prestigious Third Sector Care Awards.
Jane won the ‘Making a Difference’ award at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square yesterday (9 December 2015). This award recognises sector leaders who have significantly influenced outcomes for customers and colleagues.
Speaking about the award, Jane commented: “I felt honoured to have been selected as a finalist, so to win is wonderful. It really is a tribute to the fantastic colleagues I work with – Anchor could not challenge misconceptions about care and bring people happiness in later life without their passion, hard work and dedication.”
The award reflects not just Jane’s hard work at Anchor, growing the organisation and ensuring our high standards are maintained, but also raising older people’s issues up the political agenda and driving industry-wide innovation.
Dame Esther Rantzen, who hosted the Third Sector Care Awards, said: “It is crucial that the not-for-profit sector offers high quality care and support for vulnerable people, whilst driving up standards.”
The awards are organised by Care Management Matters and supported by the Care Provider Alliance, National Care Forum, Housing and Support Alliance, Mental Health Providers Forum and Voluntary Organisations Disability Group.
The award follows hot on the heels of Anchor being named Best Care Home Operator in the National Care Awards 2015.
