At Silk Court , we provide residential and nursing care for 51 older people increasing physical and mental frailties and varying mental health needs.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.  Most rooms have views of the gardens.

Set in a residential location and in its own grounds, Silk Court is near to local shops, pubs, post office and excellent bus and railway routes to the city.

Accommodation

• 51 single en-suite rooms with WC, washbasin and shower facilities

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• There are 5 cosy lounges with TV, video, stereo and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Specially equipped bathrooms so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• All meals are served in the dining rooms or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Silk Court has a well-maintained garden and patio area, ideal for summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

Facilities

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular weekly church services and meetings are held

Health and personal care

• Local GP services available on request

• Specialist Nurse, Optician, Dentist, and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Chiropodist visits every 4-6 weeks or on request

• Our Hairdresser visits once a fortnight or on request

Local area

• Bethnal Green Town Centre, ¼ mile

• Bethnal Green Tube Station, ½ mile

• Nearest hospital is in Whitechapel, 2 miles

• London attractions and sights are approximately a 15 minute tube journey away
