At Oakleigh we provide residential care for 51 older people who have physical disabilities, moderate dementia, some mental health needs and moderate learning disabilities.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Oakleigh is close to the local shops, pub and post office.  All rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 51 single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• Residents who smoke can do so in their own room

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 5 lounges with TVs and video recorders and some quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available in each unit to make drinks for you and your visitors

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

• Meals are served in the dining room but can be enjoyed in your room if you prefer

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Oakleigh has landscaped gardens with a wild garden area which is ideal for sitting out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• Our in-house shop sells confectionery and greetings cards

• We have personal laundry service

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

• We have 3 local surgeries and a GP available on request
