At Linwood, we provide residential care for 66 older people who have physical disabilities, moderate dementia and some mental health needs. Nursing staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Linwood is close to the local shops, pubs and library. Most of our rooms have views off the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 66 single en-suite rooms all with WC and washbasin

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• Guest room available where visitors can stay overnight

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24 hour help

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 6 lounges, some with TVs and some quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available where you and your visitors can make drinks

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lift to upper floors

Dining

• Meals are served in the dining room but can be served in your room if you prefer

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements are catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Linwood has elegant gardens with pleasant areas to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry service

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

• There are 3 local surgeries and a GP available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits 3 times a week
