At Heathside, we provide residential care for 51 older people with increasing physical and mental frailties and varying mental health needs.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet residential area and in its own grounds, Heathside is close to local shops, pubs and post office and excellent bus routes to nearby towns.  Most rooms have lovely views of the gardens.

• 51 Single bedrooms

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• We have 7 cosy lounges with TVs, video and DVD players and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Specially equipped bathrooms so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Supper is served in the lounges or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Heathside has an elegant garden with patio and sitting areas, ideal for the summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week such as day trips, arts and crafts etc.

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and meetings are held

Health and personal care

• Our GP visits on request and there are 5 local surgeries

• Optician, Dentist and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• District Nurse visits twice weekly or on request

• Chiropodist visits every 4-6 weeks or on request

• Local Holistic Therapists are available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits twice a week
