At Glendale , we provide residential care for 61 older people with increasing physical and mental frailties and varying mental health needs.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Glendale is close to local amenities and excellent bus routes to Walton and Weybridge .  Most rooms have lovely views of the gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 60 single en-suite bedrooms with WC and washbasin

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• We have 5 cosy lounges with TV, video and DVD players and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Specially equipped bathrooms, one has a spa facility so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lift to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Supper is served in the lounge or in the privacy of your room

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Glendale has a pleasant garden with coppice, patio and sitting areas, ideal to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week such as day trips, arts and crafts etc.

Facilities

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and meetings are held

Health and personal care

• Our GP is available on request.  There are 4 local surgeries

• District Nurse, Optician, Dentist and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Chiropodist visits every 4-6weeks or on request

• Local Holistic Therapists are available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits four times a week

Local area

• Walton Town Centre, ¼ mile

• Walton Railway Station, 1 mile

• St Peter’s Hospital in Cherstey, 7 miles

• Bowling green , theatre, swimming pool, ¼ mile

• Golf course, 1 mile
