At Dawson Lodge we provide residential care for 43 older people who have physical disabilities, dementia and mental health needs. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own grounds, Dawson Lodge is close to the local shops and post office. Rooms have views of the well-kept gardens. Residents benefit from wireless broadband internet connection, well adapted facilities, which include communal cooking facilities, a quiet lounge and an actively encouraged environment to suit individual needs.

• Large single occupancy en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite, digital TV and Radio

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help when you need it

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 1 cosy main lounge with TV and quiet common room for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available to make drinks for you and your visitors

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to upper floor

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

      - Flexible dining times with our restaurant opening between the hours of 7am – 8pm

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

      - Visitors, family and friends and welcomed to join us for meals and coffee

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Dawson Lodge has very pleasant gardens with an area to sit out in summer and open fields to the South and North where deer graze

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home every day

      -  Organised trips and physical exercise is also offered and encouraged to suit individuals

        needs and preferences

• Our Hairdresser visits every week and provides a first class service in out on site salon

• Our Chiropodist visits every 4-6 weeks or on request

• There is a GP available on request and local surgeries

        - Fantastic links and relationships with local doctors, hospitals and district nurses
