At Bluegrove House, we provided residential care for 48 older people who have increasing physical and mental frailties.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in its own attractive grounds, Bluegrove House is close to a local shopping area, pubs, post office and excellent bus and train routes.  Most rooms have views of the well-kept garden.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 48 single en-suite rooms with WC and shower facilities

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage residents to bring personal items in to enhance their rooms

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• We have 4 cosy lounges each with a TV, video player and stereo.  One of the lounges is ideal for events and entertainment

• We have quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Specially equipped bathrooms so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to all floors

Dining

• All three main meals are served in the dining room or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be delivered daily to your room

• Bluegrove House has an elegant garden and sitting areas, ideal to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome at manager’s discretion

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular interdenominational church services are held

• Regular residents meetings are held

Health and personal care

• GP services available on request

• District Nurse, Optician, Dentist and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Our Chiropodist visits every 3-4 months

• Holistic therapists available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits once a fortnight

Local area

• ‘The Blue’ market area, shops and pubs are all within walking distance

• Guy’s and St Thomas ’ Hospital, 1 mile

• South Bermondsey Railway Station, ¼ mile
