At Abbeywood, we provide residential care for 50 older people with increasing physical and mental frailties and varying mental health needs.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own grounds, Abbeywood is close to local shops, pubs, post office and excellent bus routes to Aldershot and Guilford .  Most rooms have views of the well-kept gardens or the courtyard.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 50 single rooms with washbasin

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• We have 5 open-plan lounges each with TV and video player and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• There is a large function room ideal for social events, entertainment and activities

• Specially equipped bathrooms so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Supper is served in the lounges or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Tea and snack-making facilities are available

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Abbeywood has a pleasant garden with patio and sitting areas, ideal for the summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

Facilities

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and meetings are held

• Our GP is available on request

• District Nurse, Optician, Dentist and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Local Holistic Therapists are available on request

• Our Chiropodist visits every 4-6 weeks

• Our Hairdresser visits twice a week
