At Wellington Lodge, we provide professional residential care for 32 older people with increasing physical and mental frailty and varying mental health needs. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a suburban location with well kept gardens, Wellington Lodge is close to local amenities and excellent bus and train routes to Manchester , Bury and Salford . Most rooms have lovely views of the landscaped gardens.

Accommodation

• 32 single en-suite rooms

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call systems in each room providing 24-hour help

• Rooms are decorated to high standard

• All rooms centrally heated

• We encourage furniture personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• A cosy lounge with TV, DVD and stereo system

• We have a quiet lounge for reading and relaxing, etc

• There are designated areas for smoking

• Bathrooms and shower room specially equipped so you can relax in a comfort

• Lifts to all floors

Dining

• Supper is served either in the lounge or in your room if you prefer

• Breakfast is served in the dining room or you can enjoy a continental breakfast brought to your room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Wellington Lodge has a pleasant garden and sitting area, ideal for relaxing in the summer months

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• We have a hairdressing salon

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• Our local GP is available on request. There are 3 local services

• Chiropodist visits every 6-8 weeks or on request

• District Nurse, Dentist Optician and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Local Holistic therapies are available on request

Local area

• Manchester City Centre with places of interest such as museums, art galleries, and a variety of shops, 1 mile

• North Manchester General Hospital , 2 miles

• Piccadilly and Victoria Railway Stations, 3 miles
