At Southwold, we provide professional nursing care for 41 older people increasing physical and mental frailty and varying disabilities. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location, within the grounds of Wythenshawe Hospital , Southwold is close to the town’s amenities and excellent bus and train routes. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

• 31 single en-suite and 5 double en-suite rooms

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• Telephone point available in your room on request

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• All room centrally heated

• 1 large lounge with a conservatory

• 4 small cosy lounge areas with tea-making facilities, ideal for entertaining your guests

• Sensory garden with large water feature, summerhouse and seated pergola

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lifts to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Supper is served in the lounge or in the privacy of your room

• Continental breakfast can be served in your room or a cooked breakfast served in the dining room

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Southwold has a pleasant feature garden, patio and sitting area ideal for sitting out in the summer

• Sensory and Stimulating activities are organised at our home each week

• Regular religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• Local G.P’s and a Case Management Team from the PCT monitor residents needs weekly

• Access to all community-based services including, Dentist and Optician and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Our Hairdresser/Barber visits weekly

• Our Chiropodist is available monthly or by arrangement

• Holistic therapies are available on request
