At Sandstones, we provide residential care for 35 older people with increasing physical and mental frailty. Nursing staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet residential area on the Wirral, Sandstones is close to the local amenities and excellent bus routes to Liverpool and nearby towns. Many of our rooms have views off the well-kept gardens.

Accommodation

• 35 single en-suite rooms with kitchenette

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• Telephone points are available in most rooms

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24 hour help

• All rooms centrally heated

• We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• Cosy lounge with TV’S and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lift to all floors

Dining

• Supper can be served in the dining room, or in the privacy of your own room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements are catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Sandstones has a pleasant garden, patio and sitting area, ideal for relaxing in the summer months

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and residents meetings are held

Health and personal care

• Our local GP is available on request

• District Nurse, Dentist, Optician, Physiotherapist and Aroma therapist visit by arrangement

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 6 weeks or on request

• Our Hairdresser visits 1 day a week

• Holistic Therapists are available on request

• Liscard Town Centre, 1 mile

• 2 bowling greens, swimming pool, British Legion, ¼ mile
