At Brocklehurst, we provide nursing care for 41 older people (male and female) with increasing physical and mental frailty and varying disabilities. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location in its own grounds, Brocklehurst is close to local amenities and excellent bus routes to Manchester . Most have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 31 single and 5 double en-suite rooms

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call systems in each room providing 24-hour help

• Rooms are decorated to high standard

• All rooms centrally heated

• Smoking available in designated areas

• We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• There are 5 cosy lounges all with digital/satellite TV and video/DVD players

• Fully-fitted kitchenettes in communal areas where you and your visitors can make drinks

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

Dining

• Meals can be served in the dining rooms or in the privacy of your room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

•Brocklehurst has a small garden, patio and sitting areas ideal for relaxing in the summer months

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are allowed by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• GP is available on request

• Consultant clinic held at the home every two weeks

• Our Hairdresser visits weekly

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 4-6 weeks or on request

• Physiotherapist, Dentist, and Optician visit by arrangement

• Holistic therapy – details of local providers are available

Local area

• Manchester City Centre and railway station, 6 miles

• Manchester Royal Infirmary, 4 miles

• High quality restaurants, shops and pubs all within walking distance
