At Walldene Court , we provide nursing care for 42 older people who have multiple nursing needs. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in its own grounds with gardens, Walldene Court is close to the local shops, pubs, churches and post office.

We offer:

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin, some with showers

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line (connection rate applies)

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage small personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 3 cosy lounges with TVs and one quiet lounge for reading and relaxing, etc

• Tea-making facilities are available to make drinks for you and your visitors

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

• Supper is served in the lounges or in your room if you prefer

• Breakfast is served in the dining room or you can have this brought to your room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be delivered daily to your room

• Walldene Court has pleasant gardens with patio areas for summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• We have a personal laundry service

• A pay telephone available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• Local GP and daily house calls available. Also GP on request

• We have a hairdressing salon – Hairdresser visits twice a week

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 6-8 weeks or on request

• The Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Dentist and Optician – visiting and local services are available

• Holistic therapy – details of local providers are available

Local area

• Town centre of Wallsend is 1 mile away

• Wallsend is a historic town which has the Roman Fort of Segedunum as an attraction

• Close to excellent bus routes to Newcastle and coastal areas

• The nearest hospital is in North Tyneside , 5 miles away

• Newcastle Railway Station is 8 miles away
