At St. Clare House, we provide residential care for 29 older people with varying disabilities and mental frailty associated with dementia. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, St. Clare House is close to the local shops, pubs and post office.

We offer:

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in some bedrooms, and we can arrange for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24 hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 2 cosy lounges with TV’s and music system and quiet area for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available to make drinks for you and your visitors

• Bathrooms are specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

• There are two dining rooms. Supper is served either in the lounges or in your room if you prefer

• Breakfast is served in the dining room or you can enjoy a continental breakfast brought to your room

• We offer a wide range of dining at St. Clare House. You can choose from the varied and seasonal menus each day

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be delivered daily to your room

• St. Clare House has pleasant gardens with an area to sit out

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

Facilities

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are allowed by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility

• A pay telephone is available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• There is a GP available on request

• Our Hairdresser and barber visits regularly               

• Our Chiropodist visits every 6-12 weeks or on request

• Physiotherapist visits by arrangement

• Dentist & Optician – visiting and local service available

• Holistic therapy – details of local providers are available

• Local town centre of Hull is 500 yards away

• Excellent bus routes to all areas

• Queens Gardens are 500 yards away

• The nearest hospital is in hull, 1 mile away
