At Prior Bank, we provide residential care for 32 older people who have varying abilities and for those who want to maintain their independence but now find that they need some practical and personal care. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location in its own beautiful grounds, Prior Bank is close to the local shops, pubs and post office. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24 hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• A cosy lounge with TV and music system. Quiet area for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available to make drinks for you and your visitors

• Additional bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in a comfortable bath or take a shower if you wish

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements are catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Prior Bank has very elegant gardens with a pleasant area to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged monthly at the home

• There is a GP is available on request

• Our Hairdresser and visits fortnightly or on request

• Our Chiropodist visits every 6 weeks or on request

• The Physiotherapist visits by arrangement

• Dentist & Optician – visiting and local service available

• Holistic therapy – details of local providers available

• Close to excellent bus routes to Sheffield and a short car ride to the scenic Derbyshire Peak District
