At Normanby House, we provide residential care for 25 older people with increasing physical and mental frailty and varying disabilities. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and its own grounds, Normanby House is close to the local amenities and excellent bus routes to nearby towns. Most of our rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

Accommodation

• 25 Single en-suite rooms with shower facilities.

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• All rooms centrally heated

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage furniture and personal items to brought in to make it your own home

• Cosy main lounge with TV, video and DVD players and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Specially equipped bathrooms with spa facilities so you can relax in comfort or enjoy a refreshing shower

• Lift to all floors

Dining

• All meals are served in the dining room, or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• Local GPs visit on request

• Our Hairdresser visits weekly or on request

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 4-6 weeks or on request

• District Nurse, Dentist, Optician and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

• Holistic therapies are available on request
