At Moorlands Hall, we provide residential care for 32 older people who have dementia and associated mental frailty. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Moorlands Hall is close to the local shops, pubs and post office. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in some bedrooms, and we can arrange for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24 hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 2 cosy lounges-each with TV, music system and quiet area for reading and relaxation

• Staff will provide drinks on request, or will supervise the making of drinks for you and your visitors

• Additional bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in a comfort,

• Lift to upper floors

Dining

• There is one main dining room where the 3 main meals are served. Supper is served either in the lounges or in your room if you prefer

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements are catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Moorlands Hall has very pleasant gardens designed for those with Dementia. There are nice areas to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

Facilities

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are allowed by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A telephone is available

• Transport is available when needed

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• A GP is available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits once a week

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 6 weeks or on request

• The Physiotherapist visits by arrangement

• Dentist & Optician – visiting and local service available

• Holistic therapy – a massage therapist visits fortnightly

Local area

• Local town centre of Dewsbury is 1 mile away

• Excellent bus routes to the town centre and Leeds

• Huddersfield and Bradford are a short car ride away

• The nearest hospital is in Dewsbury which is 1 mile away

• Dewsbury Railway Station is ½ a mile away
