We’re here to help and look forward to giving you a warm welcome.

At Ferendune Court , we provide residential and nursing care for 48 older people with physical disabilities, mental health needs or dementia; and for those who want to maintain their independence but now find that they need some practical and personal care.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location in its own beautiful grounds, Ferendune Court is close to the local shops, pubs and post office. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin - The Nursing unit has18 rooms, 9 long stay and 9 short stay. The Residential unit has 26 rooms, 2 of which are double

• Residential unit rooms are unfurnished and you can bring in your own furniture and personal items to enhance your room

• Nursing unit rooms are furnished and you are encouraged to bring in personal items to make your room your own

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• Two cosy lounges with TVs and quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available where you and your visitors can make drinks

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to upper floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Ferendune Court has very pleasant gardens with patio area to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• Our in-house shop sells confectionery and greetings cards

• We have a personal laundry facility and service

• A pay telephone is available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• There is a weekly GPs surgery at Ferendune Court

• Our Hairdresser visits every week

• Our Chiropodist visits every 4-6 weeks or on request

• Physiotherapist and District Nurse visit by arrangement

• Dentist & Optician – visiting and local services are available

• Holistic therapy – details of local providers are available.

Local area

• Local town centre is Faringdon, 10 minutes walk away

• There is a local Farmers Market once a month

• Golf course, bowling green and swimming pool nearby

• Community bus can collect you outside and take you to market place, shops and doctors

• Nearest hospital and railway stations are: Swindon , approximately 12 miles away or

Oxford approximately 16 miles away

• Nearest hospital: Newquay Cottage Hospital, 1/4 mile

• Newquay Railway Station, 1 mile
