At St Edith’s Court, we provide residential care for 39 older people with increasing physical frailty and for those who want to maintain their independence, but now find that they need some practical and personal care.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own grounds, St Edith’s Court is close to local amenities, the seafront and excellent bus routes to Southend.  Some of the rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• 39 single en-suite rooms, with shower and kitchenette

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• All rooms centrally heated

• There are 3 lounges with quiet areas for relaxing and reading, etc.

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• All three meals are served in the dining rooms or can be enjoyed in your own room

• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• St Edith’s Court has a pleasant garden, patio and sitting area, ideal for the summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

Facilities

• Wheelchair access is available

• Car parking is available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Regular religious services and meetings are arranged

Health and personal care

• Local GPs visit when required

• District Nurse, Dentist and Optician visit by arrangement

• Our Chiropodists visits once every 4-6 weeks or on request

• Our Hairdresser visits twice a week

• Holistic therapies are available on request

Local area

• Chalkwell Station, the popular Chalkwell Park and the Seafront are a short walk away

• Southend General Hospital is approximately ¼ mile away
