At Oakwood House, we provide nursing care for 24 older people with varying degrees of mental and physical frailty.  Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own grounds, Oakwood House is close to local amenities and excellent bus routes to Ipswich and Martlesham.  Most of our rooms have lovely views over the well-kept garden.

• 24 single en-suite rooms all with specially designed baths

• Rooms decorated to a high standard

• We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• All rooms centrally heated

• Residents can smoke in designated areas

• There are 4 lounges with quiet areas for relaxing and reading, etc.

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to all floors

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• All three meals are served in the dining rooms or in the privacy of your room

Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Oakwood House has a small conservatory, pleasant garden, patio and sitting area ideal for the summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• Our GP visits once a week or on request

• Our Chiropodists visits once every 6 weeks or on request

• Our Hairdresser visits once a week

• Holistic and Beauty Therapists are available on request
